- to include more of an image, use a wide lens
-stop down the lens to f/5.6 to f/8 or even f/11 for greater depth of field
-this will make everything in the photograph sharp and in focus

-each form of portraits for example; angle of view, composition, lighting, contrast, depth of field, level of details & sharpness and tonal range applies to each photograph which change the mood and can create a softer look

-The difference between a candid and a formal photo would be that a formal photo would usually have a better setup with better lighting as well as straighter focus of the objective in the portrait.
-a candid would be a photograph/portrait capturing a person going about everyday life and activities, its more effective if the person is completely natural.

-The most successful form of portraits that i believe is the finest to shoot would be candid. this is because you can shoot in a real world atmosphere it also has more of a personal feel and applies more of a story to your portrait/photograph
